Check out now - is it a boy?

Can you choose the gender of your child, really?

Most of us would have wished, at some point in life, the power to choose the sex of your kids, when you have planned for a pregnancy.
Western research is reported to have poured over $1 billion into research for this purpose.
However, the Chinese are believed to have developed a system thousands of years ago to improve the chances of begetting a male child. This method is called the Chinese Calendar Method. Basically, if the couple has sex on a certain day and the mother is a certain age, they can predict with about 66.5% accuracy what sex your child will be.
Modern methods of gender selection are based on timing a woman's ovulation cycle. These take into account certain facts about the changes in a woman’s secretions over the menstrual cycle (which can be monitored at home by simple means0 and also the inherent strengths and weaknesses of male (Y) and female (X).

But before we go into all that, a teaser:
Enjoy guessing your baby's sex using “time tested knowledge” expecting moms have relied on for guessing their baby's sex:

It's a boy if:
You didn't experience morning sickness in early pregnancy
Your baby's heart rate is less than 140 beats per minute
You are carrying the extra weight out front
Your belly looks like a basketball
Your areola have darkened considerably
You are carrying low
You are craving salty or sour foods
You are craving protein -- meats and cheese
Your feet are colder than they were before pregnancy
The hair on your legs has grown faster during pregnancy
Your hands are very dry
Your pillow faces north when you sleep
Dad-to-be is gaining weight, right along with you
Pregnancy has you looking better than ever
Your urine is a bright yellow in color
Your nose is spreading
You hang your wedding ring over your belly, it moves in circles
You are having headaches
You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived the number is even.
